Held and Hein - Spatial Perception

The study looks at the development of visually coordinated motor movements i.e. the ability to use information coming from our eyes to guide our body movements.  In humans, an example of this would be hand eye coordination, the ability to catch a ball.

The study uses animals, in this case cats, as a model for human development.  We call this type of research comparative psychology.
