Thigpen and Cleckley - A Case of Multiple Personality Disorder
The study examines a very unusual phenomenon. This mental illness at the time was named 'Multiple Personality Disorder' (MPD) but is now classified as 'Dissociative Identity Disorder' (DID).
Using a case study method, the researchers attempt to treat a woman who appears to have more than one personality inhabiting her body.
